Our mission

To help meaningful nonfiction books reach the people and opportunities they were written to serve.

A nonfiction book can be the beginning of a larger conversation, a professional platform, a teaching tool, a reader community, a workshop, a course, or a body of work that grows over time.

We work with nonfiction authors, memoirists, experts, professionals, educators, leaders, consultants, researchers, and thought leaders. Our job is to build the strategy, materials, visibility, and opportunities that let the book do more after publication.

Our philosophy: every book has a different pathway.

A leadership book may grow through professional visibility, corporate workshops, podcasts, and speaking. A memoir may grow through thoughtful storytelling, reader conversations, and community. A health or self-help book may need educational content, trusted relationships, useful resources, and long-term engagement.

“We do not force books into generic packages. We build the strategy around the actual work.”

Why nonfiction only

Nonfiction books do a different job, so they need a different strategy.

Genuine Book Pathways Team works exclusively with nonfiction. That focus lets us go deeper on the questions nonfiction authors actually face.

What the focus makes possible

  • Positioning around a reader’s real problem, question, or aspiration
  • Presenting the author’s authority, research, or lived experience credibly
  • Finding professional, institutional, and educational pathways beyond retail sales
  • Turning a book’s ideas into talks, workshops, courses, and companion resources
  • Matching each subject to the audiences, media, and communities where it is useful
  • Building an author platform that can outlast a single launch

Our values

Six principles behind every recommendation.

01

Clarity first

Marketing works best when the book’s value is clear. We start with positioning before we ask anyone to notice the book.

02

Honest marketing

We do not guarantee sales, rankings, reviews, media coverage, or bestseller status. We focus on what an author can control.

03

Written accountability

Priorities, activity, emerging opportunities, and next steps are documented so authors always know what is happening and why.

04

Relevance over noise

The goal is visibility in places where the book’s ideas are useful, not attention for its own sake.

05

The author’s voice

A public presence should reflect the depth of the work without feeling manufactured or performative.

06

Permission and integrity

Testimonials, author names, books, and quotations are used only with written permission and reflect work actually completed.

Team standards

How the team works with every author.

Every author does not need every service. We bring the right strategic and specialist support into the work at the right time.

Each author experience reflects work completed through Genuine Book Pathways Team by the strategist or specialist best suited to that author’s needs.

Meet the Team

Our standards

  • We review the book, goals, publishing stage, and platform before recommending a next step
  • We recommend the right path rather than a fixed package
  • We provide written recommendations, reporting, and next steps
  • We use only verified professional information about our team and authors
  • We stay within our scope: we are not a publisher, literary agent, lawyer, or distributor
  • We do not provide legal advice or guarantee outcomes outside our control

Who we work with

Authors with something meaningful to say.

Some authors come to us before their manuscript is complete. Some are preparing for launch. Some have recently published and need organized momentum. Others have a backlist title that deserves a stronger second life.
